Welcome to States of Grace, I am so glad you are here. I am Tanya Shamash and my mission is to help you to find your State of Grace, using movement to retune your nervous system and restore your vitality.

With a BSC in psychology and several years working for the emergency psychiatric units of the NHS, I have a deep interest in the importance of our nervous systems to the overall health of our minds and bodies. Recent research shows us how the flexibility of our nervous systems may be restored through mindful movement and breath practices, which is truly exciting when we think that most of us today are struggling with some form of dysregulation of our nervous systems through stress and other factors. Movement is universal and works at the root cause of so many symptoms by stimulating our vagus nerve to retune the nervous system.

I believe that through mindful movement practices we can all move from surviving to flourishing.

Since my first child was born in 2005, I have had a special interest in the wellbeing of women and children but I am passionate about how my work can be beneficial across many settings. From schools to office spaces, large workshops to small groups and 1:1 sessions.
